K-Meleon

K-Meleon - The Browser You Control

K-Meleon is a fast, customizable, lightweight web browser for the win32 (Windows) platform based on the Gecko layout engine (the rendering engine of Mozilla). K-Meleon is free, open source software released under the GNU General Public License.

For quick links to the main sections within K-Meleon Wiki, visit the Welcome page. You can also search the wiki pages to find documents that relate to your specific question. For Translations of the Wiki pages click on your country flag on the left.

You may read through the list of Features available in K-Meleon before you Download the latest release version (currently version 0.8.2) to try it out. You can also see some Screenshots first if you want to know what K-Meleon looks like. Users of K-Meleon 0.8.1 can use the Service Pack to upgrade their browser to K-Meleon 0.8.2.

The latest information on K-Meleon's development is found in the News section. Other news, including links to external articles and reviews of K-Meleon can be found at the PressCenter.

In the Documentation section you can read about the History of K-Meleon, check the FAQ and Tutorials or read the User's Guide and Reference Manual. There is also an InstallationGuide and texts describing how to install and use ThirdPartyPlugins, such as the JavaPlugin, FlashPlugin and RealPlayerPlugin, as well as many others.

Among the Resources you will find, Themes, Skins & Throbbers, Icons, Buttons and Banners, Links to external resources and Translations of the program. The Resources section is also the place to find and share ready-made Macros which expand upon the features of K-Meleon through the macros plugin.

9-4-2003: The K-Meleon Documentation Project is now a separate project hosted at BerliOS. Please visit http://kmeleon-doc.berlios.de and help us write an up-to-date User's Guide and Reference Manual for K-Meleon.
